About Watlow

Watlow is an American company, which beginnings date back to 1922 when the founder of the company Louis Desloge began production of electric heating elements used in presses for the manufacture of footwear. Such a solution quickly took over the widely used at that time steam heating process, and the introduction of a line of consumer products (electric irons and heating pads) had provided the company with success and further development. The company’s potential is in its nine manufacturing facilities and three technology centers, located in the United States, Mexico, Europe and Asia, more than 450 patents and more than 2,000 employees worldwide.

Watlow products

Watlow product portfolio consists of 3 groups of products, the mentioned before heaters, sensors, and controllers. The group of heaters is, of course, the widest part of the offer, and you will find here products such as:

– cartridge/insertion type heaters (including FIREROD®, MULTICELL™)

– tubular heaters (including WATROD™, FINBAR™), flexible heaters (such as polyimide, SERIES EHG®)

– immersion, circulation heaters (including STARFLOW™ and made in OPTIMAX™ technology)

– air heaters (ECO-HEAT®) and special ceramic heaters ULTRAMIC®

Watlow also presents nozzle and band heaters, RAYMAX® radiant heaters, as well as thermostats and accessories.

The group of sensors includes a broad range of thermocouples (including exhaust gas temperature sensor EXACTSENSE®), high-temperature sensors such as resistance temperature sensors, thermistors and ENVIROSEAL™ HD sensors for applications in harsh environments. This group also includes a range of dedicated accessories (protection tubes, connectors, transmitters), wires and cables in mineral insulation XACTPAK®.

The last group, consisting of software and drivers, Watlow offers solutions such as integrated multi-function controllers (such as F4T with INTUITION®), EZ-ZONE temperature and process controllers, limiters and scanners (including EZ-ZONE® PM Limit), operator interfaces (including Silver Series EM, EZ-ZONE® RUI and Gateway), electronic indicators (EZ-ZONE® PM), data loggers (including WATVIEW™, SpecView SCADA Software) and software (COMPOSER® with INTUITION®, EZwarePlus & EZware-5000, EZ-ZONE® LabVIEW™ Driver).
